Growing Up
So time is passing all to fast. My toddler is talking more and getting quite the attitude. I unpacked all her toys today and she was playing with them while I unpacked and arranged her room. When I finished I left so she could play and she says "Mommy get back here and dance." All I could do was laugh at her. Then Boston came in and decided to play with her on his break. He had layed a blanket down and was playing with her. When he got up to leave she said "No Daddy get back in your bed and play." She is growing so fast and is such a mess. She is a good helper though and loves her little brother. Canon has started to smile a lot and she loves to give him kisses. Before I know it he will be chasing her around the house and it will all come way to soon.

Camping
I love this time of year. Boston's family every year around this time gets together for a week of camping at Greens Peak. Well this year with the new baby we decided that we couldn't go for a whole week, but we did go for the weekend. It was a lot of fun to just relax and watch Katelyn. She had so much fun running around and getting dirty. She had great cousins that came and took her everywhere with them and I was lucky to have such great in-laws that would watch her so I could keep care of Canon. It was weird not having her close by at all times, but someone at all times knew where she was. She also LOVED the quads and Boston took her on many fun rides. The first night was cold to me, but Katelyn and Canon did great. The second night was not as fun since Canon started crying and Katelyn woke up and realized we were in the trailer. Thank goodness for Boston he dealt with Katelyn while I got Canon to calm down. Katelyn spent the next few hours up and down and finally I held her and sang some songs to her and then put her back in bed. She talked to her Elmo doll for a while, but finally fell asleep. Overall it was a great few days and I can't wait until next year so we can go the whole week. I don't have the attachment to load pictures with me so I will have to post them later.

Canon Brooks Bryce
Two weeks ago was a test of strength that I am still in awe I was able to do. Let me start at the beginning.....
7/12 I had not been feeling so good, but after a nap and two All Stars tickets calling my name I had to go to the game. During the opening ceremonies I told Boston that I had two contractions so we started timing them. Around 5:30pm we started timing them and they started at 20 minutes apart and then moved to about 10 minutes apart. So we called Boston's dad to come and get us and we went home. We got Katelyn's bag together so she could stay with Grandma Bryce and called my doctor. She told me to wait until they were at least 5 minutes apart or if the pain was too much to just go in. I had decided that I wanted to try and have the baby naturally with out the epidural since I hated my last one with Katelyn. They soon were coming hard and I already was doubting that I could do it with out the epidural. Boston gave me a husbands blessing before we left and around 11:15 we started to the hospital. They first put me into the ob triage until they had a room for me and by 12:30 we were in the room. I was already having some contractions that were killing me and feeling pressure, but was only at a 5. I then proceeded to endure the contractions and surprised that my husband still has a hand! Thanks to him and the nurse they kept me from hyperventilating and running out of the hospital. We finally told them I wanted the epidural and I couldn't take the pain. They told me after the next two contractions the person would be in to give me the epidural. Well I guess Canon overheard because during the second contraction I felt the urge to push and it was coming strong and he was coming out. My Dr was on her way still and so the nurse and one of the training Dr came in to check me. They said I was at a nine and needed to not push. Unfortunately by this time I was so terrified about what was going on I was not the nicest person. I told them that they needed to GET HIM OUT and that I couldn't stop from pushing he was coming. So after four pushes out came Canon Brooks Bryce 6lbs11oz and 19.5 inches came at 2:20. It was truly an amazing experience. I have decided that for our next kids I will do natural. It was great being able to feel what was going on instead of having someone else tell me when I needed to push. I was able to just do it myself. I just hope that my labor and delivery goes as smoothly as this. We are having a lot of fun with our new little boy and sure do love him.

Katelyn at first had a hard time with the baby, but now she loves to just come over and kiss and hug him. If the baby starts crying she will run to my rocking chair and grab a pacifier to give to Canon. Everyone told me that after I came home with the baby my toddler would seem so much older and it is true. Plus she is so heavy, but I sure do love her. She is going to be a great big sister and helper.

Katelyn.....
So today Katelyn came in grabbed a rag out of the cupboard and preceded to head down stairs. She then sits on the stairs and starts wiping the stairs. We then realize there is an empty bottle of bubbles on the stairs also. All Boston and I could do is stare. She tried to clean up her mess all by herself without us having to tell her. YEA!

To My Love
You are such an amazing person and I love you so much. Thank you for putting up with my mood swings, lack of patience, and loving me no matter what. You are the best thing that has happened to me and I am glad I get to share the rest of my life on earth with you and eternity after that. I know I get irritated because I rarely can have a serious conversation with you, but I am glad you always try to find the funny sides of every situtation and that even when I would like to strangle you you can make me laugh! Thank you for being you and such a great husband.

6 more weeks and a little update
Canon (Baby #2)- just six more weeks (possibly a little longer) before I get to hold the little guy in my arms. This pregnancy seems to have flown by and I am excited for this new little chapter in my life.
Katelyn- Little Miss Katelyn will be 18 months on Sunday. I have been waiting for this day she will FINALLY go into NURSERY! WAHOO!!!!! I am looking forward to the little time I will have to be able to listen in classes at Church. She is also becoming quite the toddler she still can't sit still and loves to be into everything. Her favorite thing is to be outside with the animals and playing with the hose. She is becoming quite the little helper and loves to look at all the babies at church. I hope she will do good with her little brother.
Boston- Boston in doing good. He has been working alot for different companies getting them all set up with new servers and such along with his regular job. He loves his garden and animals. He is turning into quite the little farmer. He also has given me the best present I could have asked for. My husband is now eating more fruit and veggies. Many of you may think that is weird, but if you know my husband that is a miracle! He hates fruits and veggies, but has been watching a lot of documenteries about eating healthy so he has decided to give them a try. WAHOO!!!! He is such an amazing guy and I am lucky I have him.
Kati- Well for me I am doing good can't believe I have 6 weeks left. We surely have been blessed. Since October I have been worked 30 hours at a family roofing company and was planning on leaving after I had the baby. Well a few weeks ago the owner asked me if I would be willing to keep my job roll and continue working remotely from home. I work in accounts payable and really enjoy what I do so of course I said yes. I will take a few weeks off for the baby and then will continue working. I also got him to agree to let me start working from home a month before my due date so we can get everyone use to me working remotely. So all in all we are doing great around here.

One of the Best Decisions I have made....
I must say I love being a MOM!!!!! It has to be one of the best decisions we made to have a baby and soon another. I sure love my Katelyn. Granted she insists on calling me dad lately instead of mom, gets frustrated easy, and loves to try my patients. However, I love that she gets excited when I come home. That she runs up and tries to climb up me saying up up up. Then I pick her up and she snuggles against me and goes "awe". Then she will start babbling about her day. I love that she will come over with a book and say "please please book." I love reading books and playing with her. At times I miss the days of just relaxing with Boston and not having to worry about what she is doing or getting into. Then I look at her and she smiles and I realize that having children is one of the greatest gifts God has ever given me. I am grateful I can have children and fill my home with laughter. One to leave their toys across the house and to climb on my lap just to give me a hug and kiss.
I know some think that kids are overrated, too expensive, and too much work. I say you are missing out. You are missing out on some amazing blessings. They aren't too expensive you just need to think less of your self and more of those special spirits waiting to come and take their turn on this earth or even those already on this earth that need good parents! Give up all those extras and enjoy the love of a child. The memories you have with a child are priceless! They are not overrated but underrated. Are they a lot of work? Yeah, but good golly it is the funniest and most rewarding work I have ever done.
I am so grateful for my wonderful husband and that he too wants a lot of kids. Is it going to be a lot of work... yes! Will we get to go on fancy vacations and drive expensive vehicles? Most likely not, but I am OK with doing with out all the luxuries of life. I just want to be a good mom and to be able to get all the hugs and kisses I can. I want to be able to tuck them in at night and teach them about the love of our Savior and Heavenly Father. I want to bandage up scrapped knees and quite all their fears. I am grateful I am a Mom. I am so grateful to the Lord for giving me this great opportunity!

No More Crib
So a week ago Boston and I decided we would finally attempt putting Katelyn in a toddler bed. While I moved furniture around Boston brought the bed into the house. As soon as he put the frame down she wanted on it. Then he brings in the mattress and laid it down on the floor and she grabbed her blanket said "Night Night" and laid down on the mattress. YEA!!!! So we get her off so we can put the sheet on and she has slept in it since. She sleeps through the night and only fell out of it once the first night. It was bound to happen since she would always stand up in her crib when she woke up in the middle of the night. She wasn't hurt it just scared her and she layed right back down and slept the rest of the night in it. She even slept in the toddler bed in Heber at my parents house. She slept better in the toddler bed then she has ever in the crib they have! So that is one step in the right direction. Next week we take away the bottle! (Wish us luck! We are going to need it)

Family Pictures
I have been wanting family pictures taken for the past few months, since the only family picture we have is when Katelyn is two weeks old. After begging to get them done Boston finaly agreed that we needed a family picture of us before the baby comes in July. I was lucky enough to get Nicole Coombs to take them for us and here are some of mine and Boston's favorites!

Time Flies
So I look at Katelyn and realize that time is flying by so fast. One minute I can't wait for her to just be able to communicate and then I want her to stop being able to figure out everything. I was watching her play the other day and noticed she would go down the hall and disappear for a few minutes then run back make sure I was still in the living room and go back down the hall. I had to see what she was doing so after she ran down the hall I got up and looked down the hall and she had our car keys and trying to put then into the pantry door that I had shut earlier. It is just amazing how she picks up everything. She knows the tools in the garage help to fix the car. She knows how to put on lids and sometimes take them off.
She is now starting to talk more and will walk up to you and say up if she wants you to hold her. She says night night when she is tired and ready for sleep. She says apple, juice, and drink. She can say chicken and then will tell you what they say buck buck. She says goat and doggie. She says please in sign language and more. She knows candy and cookies are yummy (probably not a good thing) and that is what she says when she wants one "yum yum". She can say Jesus which is so fun to hear. She says shoes and bubbles.
Why does time have to go so fast? Why can't the years slowly go by and let me enjoy my little monster? I am so greatful for my little girl and I wish time didn't fly by.

It's A BOY!
So we are officially expecting a little boy in July of this year and I am so excited. I have so many things for his room and can't wait to bust them out. This pregnancy has been going great so far and I am looking forward to meeting the little man. Now I just need to stock up on boy cloths. Can't find too many of those lying around my house. Boston said he is excited because he is sick of being surrounded by females. I looked at him and told him there are only two of us. So he so kindly pointed out we have our two female goats and 8 chickens and I kindly reminded him he is the one who wanted all the animals:)
Katelyn is getting so big! Boston watched her most of this week so I could go to work and we couldn't take her to the babysitter. He called me and said I just experimented with our daughter. So I asked him what did he do and is she still breathing. He laughed and said she went into her room today shut her door and played for 45 minutes straight. So He went in changed her diaper brought her out so he could play with her and she went back to her room shut the door and played by herself for another 30 minutes. He then decides to see if Katelyn will go down for her nap by herself. So he made her bottle went in layed my comforter on the floor with her favorite blankets. Then he puts the bottle on the book shelf with in her reach turns off the light and shuts Katelyn in her room. He said she cried for a second then she found her bottle layed down on the blankets and fell asleep. Amazing!
I just want to know why she won't leave me alone for 10 minutes if I am home with her and definitely will not go into her room and play by herself! So why is it when Katelyn is home with Dad she plays by herslef and shuts herself in her room, but when Mom is home she is glued to her side? Well I am glad to see we can start transitioning her to a bed and out of her crib since she will be getting kicked out of it in 5 months.

Quick update
Well we are pregnant again and due July 17th. I am 14 weeks and loving this pregnancy more than the first! We are finding out on this one because I want to know if I am getting a boy or not. I want a boy really bad, but will be happy with whatever is sent our way. I am excited that I will finally getting some family pictures taken soon!!!

Next we are happy to announce that Eric Tafoya finally stepped up and asked Boston's sister Cindy to marry him and they will be getting married March 5th. We are so excited for them. Eric is a great guy and he is getting an amazing girl!
I am working part time for Bostons cousins roofing company (Gryphon Roofing) and have found after working pretty much full time the last week and a half that I miss just working two days a week and being with my daughter all the time. However I am grateful for this job and glad I am able to save up money for our next addition.
